Apparently there is a thing in America (where else!?!?) that promotes a week of tall-ness. According to the store, long tall sally, which sell clothes for tall people - tall people are richer and smarter then their shorter counterparts.
This sounds like a lot of bollocks to me but the site reckon that tall people make an average of $782 more then short people - erm, whose paycheck is that going into it?!?!? I'd love to know! Because its not mine!!!!
Oh and apparently the advantage of being tall according to the site is being able to reach things. No way. I never! Seriously???
I must admit, while I don't consider myself richer or smarter then shorter girls - I'm 6ft without heels on - I do believe there are some advantages to being mad tall. These are the following :
1 - I can eat what I like and not get fat or look fat even if I am fat
2- I can each the top shelves to clean them - not that I ever do
3 - I get mistaken for a drag queen more times then I should do....
4 - I stand out in a crowd
there are also downsides :
1 - Jeans in stores never fit me. If I go for length then they presume I need a size 16 waist - which I don't or if I go for waist then they presume I am under 5ft tall.
2 - Shoes. I take a large shoe size
3 - I stand out in crowd constantly
4 - I get mistaken for a drag queen constantly...
5 - Until I discovered girls - boys were always shorter then me. Which made kissing them in secondary school, a nightmare.
6 - people thinking its okay to comment on my height - CONSTANTLY
7- Being told I am too tall for heels - CONSTANTLY
So you see, there are good and bad things to being tall. Now, I must go - I have $782 to spend somewhere.....
