STYLE INSPIRATION: WHAT TO WEAR THIS HEROES WEEKEND?

Another exciting holiday weekend is fast approaching here in JA. Wow I can barely keep up! We just got out of summer and now it's time to hit the beach again,although we never really stop here in Jamaica, but there are some major parties happening that I know you guys and gals have already started thinking about the 'Hero Swag' look...yeah I coined that term and yeah it's copyrighted lol...Inspiration? yeah I got some here...

HAIR

I'm a huge fan of the braid and there's definitely no better time to rock a braid than when you're on the beach. Benefits? It keeps your hair from blowing all over your face and looking crazy, it will also give your hair a nice soft wave for night time activities when the braid is pulled out.

Kourtney Kardashian did a single braid to the front while on vacation with her fam in Bora Bora but made it a little more fun and braided in a colored piece of fabric(TIP: You can use a thin braided headband to achieve this look. My hair accessory line 'GlamHEAD' has a few designs that will help you with this Bora Bora style.)

Mara Hoffman always has great runway looks that can easily be translated into everyday style. For her Spring 2012 collection her swimsuits were styled with double braids. Notice they kept it messy at the front. Being on the beach doesn't call for a super neat look. A little hair mess is always cuter. Even if your hair isn't as long or you're not into extensions, once your hair can be braided you can still try this double braid look and then you can wear a half turban or tie a piece of cloth across the forehead to add some more pop.

Valentino also had braids on his runway for Spring 2012. This is a great braided up-do that might not be as easy but hopefully the images below will give you an idea of the desired look. Try out this one and replicate the models from Valentino's Spring 2012 collection. Cool huh?

BEAUTY

Eva Pigford always has great bronze skin. If you didn't get a chance to tan leading up to this weekend or if your summer tan has already faded, keep your skin glowing and smooth with Palmer's Moisturizing Body Oil. MAC DUO BRONZER

STYLE

Angela Simmons was seen rocking ankle/toe jewellery. Very cute for when you when you want to slip out of the wedges and sandals but still have some bling on your feet.

The head tie has been a summer staple and I've been saying it forever, you can't go wrong wearing one.

Tribal prints and chunky gold jewellery is still hot and a great look for beach parties.
